ASF foundation is volunteer based, nonfunded organization located in Lahore and rural area village Salam, Pakistan. It has its own identity for its ideology for social issues as ASF believe, social issues and miseries can eliminate/reduce only by multitask sustainable income generating projects ,marketing channels and financial flow in poor community of the society which is associated with agriculture , aqua culture , livestock and dairy.
DSC05052Executive Director Mrs. Rukhsana Zafar is a passionate researcher; botanist and Agriprenure. She has participated in national and international training programe,workshop and seminar and learned valuable knowledge.She has a vast knowledge/experience of Agriculture e.g Agro business management, land management,soil frtility,drainage,irrigation, bio fertilizer, medicinal plants, vegetables, fruit farming, Agro tourism, food safety, HACCP, value chain of agricultural products, Global GAP, innovative products development from agricultural waste and agricultural produce for health care and agri food. Due to her strong observation, critical and innovative thinking has identified many basic critical problems pertinent to Agriculture which are mostly small holders and rural women involved in Agriculture are suffering. She visits rural areas of different districts and motivate and provide training for safe healthy food production, value addition to agricultural produce, soil fertility, crop rotation etc.
She had complete consent of her husband Mr. Zafar as he is also working as Finance Secretary in ASF Foundation. As he is also a visionary person and had a lot of experience in the fields of trade, agriculture, livestock and social work. He had vision to make organization at a level which can compete with any organization in international level.
Graduation 30Both of them have strongly realized that the major causes of poverty is due to lack of education , motivation, training guidance , awareness about latest techniques. We are trying our best to solve the basic critical problems and empowerment of poor rural and urban women and small holders
